Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday called for a peaceful settlement of the Gyanvapi-Kashi Vishwanath temple dispute, suggesting that Hindu and Muslim factions should sit at a table to resolve the issue peacefully, and stressed that there would be no arbitration in court. – no matter where it comes from. Bhagwat also warned Hindu groups not to stir up new conflicts on religious grounds every day. Why look at the Shivlings in every mosque, he asked, with strong reference to new claims in recent weeks about the evidence of Hindu monuments commemorating from Qutub Minar to Ajmer Dargah to the Taj Mahal.
“We were especially dedicated to certain areas, and we talked about them, but we should not publish a new issue every day. Why should we aggravate the conflict? We are committed to Gyanvapi, and doing something in that area is okay. But why look at Shivling in all the masjids? “Bhagwat said.
This is the first time that the RSS chief has raised the issue, and his comments have suggested that the head of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) distanced himself from a wave of Hindu organizations demanding the restoration of restored temples. The mosques were replaced when the region was ruled by Muslim rulers.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the RSS activists’ monthly training program, Bhagwat said it was wrong to continue to create controversy, and suggested that Hindus and Muslims should accept historical facts and facts without controversy.
Bhagwat also tried to distance RSS from other riots, saying the body was involved in the Ram Mandir affair in Ayodhya, not in any other such organization. “If some people do not agree and knock on the door, we must respect the court’s decision,” he said.Bhagwat’s comments came days after BJP official JP Nadda, in New Delhi earlier this week, said: “We have been talking about cultural development. But these issues are being addressed in accordance with the Constitution and the decision of the courts. Therefore, the court and the Constitution will decide it ”.
Gyanvapi case
The Varanasi court hearing of the Gyanvapi case has been postponed to July 4, when the Islamic State’s disputes continue. Repeating the line that all Indians came from the same cell, Bhagwat said that the ancestors of the Indian Muslims, too, were Hindus. He added that Hindus accept the double division of a united India, which paves the way for the Islamic state of Pakistan.
“This means that a large number of Muslims who remain in India, and who did not choose to go to Pakistan, are Indians with us,” he said. “We do not oppose any form of worship, we accept everything and we hold it sacred. They may have adopted that kind of worship but they are descendants of Rishi, munis, our Kshatriyas. We are the offspring of the same ancestors. ”
At the root of this controversy is the Law on Places of Worship, 1991, which closes the position or “religious identity” of any place of worship as it existed on August 15, 1947. The law itself was linked to the Ayodhya controversy, which erupted and led to violence in 1991, and prompted the then PV government Narasimha Rao to introduce legislation to prevent similar conflicts elsewhere. The law relieved the Ayodhya dispute.
The Supreme Court on November 9, 2019, ruled in favor of the Hindu party in the Ayodhya conflict and now builds the Ram Mandir on the site where the Babri Masjid stood before being demolished by a mob in 1992, the temple is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023.Right-wing groups have filed lawsuits against other sites where they claim the temples were located. Hindus Maha sabha last month demanded “cleansing” of the ShahiIdgah mosque to pray in a place they say is the birthplace of Krishna.
