Indian Army is fully deployed along the LAC with roads and bridges

The new Army Chief of Staff General ManojPande conducted a security review of Chinese People’s Liberation Army officers in East Ladakh and deployed Indian troops earlier this month, following the construction of a double-kilometer bridge over 16 kilometers. east of the former rival finger 8 on the north shore of Pangong Tso. Making clear his priorities, General Pande canceled his first visit to East Ladakh after taking office on May 1, inspecting the LAC’s deployment, people familiar with the matter said.

HT finds out that General Pande is satisfied with the deployment of the Indian Army near the 1597 km LAC in East Ladakh, but has taken a hard note about the development of infra military infra by the PLA in the Occupied Aksai Chin area. Both forces are allied with the deployment throughout the LAC and the Chinese military with rockets stationed in the Rudog area, south of Pangong Tso, and Xiadullah in the Xinjiang military district. The PLA Air Force has deployed its troops and bombers at Gar Gunsa across the Demchok and Hotan airbase in Xinjiang.

Indian troops are also fully deployed near the LAC with roads and bridges that can carry tanks or armored vehicles up to Daulet Beg Oldi and up to seven bridges up the Galwan River to handle any military emergency.

According to satellite imagery studied by the Indian Army, the first bridge built over a small section of Pangong Tso at Khurnak Fort was 6m wide and capable of carrying jeeps. At Khurnak Fort, Pangong Tso is only 354 feet (354 m) wide and that is why the PLA decided to plow it in order to send troops quickly. However, the Indian Army has noted that the second bridge currently under construction comprises the first 11m wide bridge and is capable of carrying 70 tons of cargo, which is more than the weight of the heaviest Chinese tank.

Building a road from the bridge

The bridge will not only connect the northern and southern shores of Pangong Tso, but PLA engineers are already building a road from the bridge to the Moldo camp across Chushul and the PLA military base camp behind Spanggur Tso. The military test that not only did the cross bridge cross the roadblock to the Rudog area but also allowed for immediate deportation when India enacted the law on August 29-21, 2020, by suddenly settling in high places on the southern shore of the lake. The Indian military action during that time not only shocked the PLA but also forced China to settle down so that it would not participate in the military on both sides of the lake by building defense bases.

People familiar with the matter say that although the twin bridges in the Khurnak Fort area are beyond the view of India’s LAC and as a result in the area occupied by the PLA in 1959, Chinese troops continue to be deployed in 15 areas, in Ugrang. Heights also take the shortest route from Panging Tso to Galwan Valley. As of now, military evictions have taken place in Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso (both banks) and the Gogra-Hot Springs area. The Indian military wants the PLA to first restore the status of April 2020 to PPT 15 and resolve security issues at Depsang Bulge (south of the DBO) and ChardingNulllah Junction in Demchok. Until the time these military objectives are achieved, New Delhi is no longer in a position to form normal relations with Beijing, people added.
