New complete vehicle intelligence system and health monitoring solution for electric vehicles

The new complete vehicle intelligence system and health monitoring solution for electric vehicles (EV) can ensure the safe and high performance of the electric car, which will occupy the main part of the new generation transportation system. The system can help estimate the exact health and charge status of the battery, assist fleet operators in their control and facilitate seamless communication.
The unavailability of such smart vehicle modules for various components of electric vehicles serves as a barrier to their effectiveness. Delhi-based Vecmocon Technologies has developed an intelligent vehicle system to collect and monitor critical battery data such as cell voltage, temperature and current battery status. Incubated at FITT-IIT Delhi, with initial support from the Department of Science and Technology, Vecmocon also provides smart vehicle solutions including keyless entry, preventive and predictive maintenance, user-adaptive algorithms, remote diagnostics, fleet management, etc.
It can satisfy the entire EV ecosystem, such as engine power controllers, battery management systems, intelligent vehicle modules, cloud connectivity, etc., with specialized components for high-performance vehicles. Proprietary Technology at Tech Readiness Level 9 costs around 20-22k for the whole kit (Battery Management System – 4-5k, Intelligence Module – 6-8k, Fast Chargers – 4-5k, Instrument Cluster – 2-3k, motor controller – 4-5 hp) and is used by more than 15 EV manufacturers as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
“While others are focusing on two-wheelers and three-wheelers as a product to market, we at Vecmocon are building an ecosystem for electric vehicles to emerge in India at a much faster pace. We design and develop core components for electric vehicles such as Battery Management System, Motor Controller, Vehicle Intelligence Module, Chargers and the entire cloud architecture for data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence,” said Peeyush Asati, one of the founders. companies.
Adarshkumar Balaraman, the other founder, acknowledged DST’s support during the initial stages of the company. Vecmocon provides battery packs with all thermal and structural aspects, battery management systems and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms for battery management design computationally inexpensive local ML system algorithms running at Rs. 100 microcontroller. It has generated revenue of Rs 5 crore so far.
