This year, WMO celebrated “World Meteorological Day”. on the topic – “the future of weather, climate and water across generations.
“World Met Day 2023” highlights past achievements, current progress and future potential – from late 19th-century telegraphs and shipping forecasting to supercomputers and space technology, the WMO said. As this year marks the 150th anniversary of the WMO, the UN body said the occasion is also a reminder of our changing climate.
