In a recent interview, renowned Bollywood actor Aamir Khan unveiled exciting details about his forthcoming film, “Sitare Zameen Par.” Drawing parallels with his emotionally touching 2007 masterpiece, “Taare Zameen Par,” Khan explained the thematic continuity between the two films.
Aamir Khan said, “I have not much spoken about it now l, But I can tell the title & it is Sitare Zameen Par & we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. Taare Zameen Par was an emotional film, but this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry & this one will definitely entertain you.”
He further said, “But the theme is the same, that’s why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws & weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme. The character of the special child Ishaan in that film, my character helps that character. In Taare Zameen Par, in Sitare Zameen Par, those 9 boys, who have their own issues, they help me. It’s the opposite.”
Additionally, Aamir Khan is not only the lead actor but will also serve as a producer for the upcoming feature film. He revealed that he is set to produce three films in total, including “Laapata Ladies,” directed by Kiran Rao, another film featuring his son Junaid Khan, and “Lahore 1947,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol. Khan expressed his enthusiasm for these upcoming projects, emphasizing his eagerness to bring fresh and engaging stories to the screen.
Aamir Khan’s previous directorial venture, “Taare Zameen Par,” received critical acclaim and starred Aamir himself alongside talented actors like Darsheel Safary, Tanay Chheda, or Vipin Sharma. The film beautifully depicted the story of an eight-year-old boy named Ishaan with exceptional talents and dyslexia, with Aamir Khan playing the role of his art teacher who discovers and nurtures Ishaan’s true potential.
Aamir Khan’s most recent on-screen appearance was in “Laal Singh Chaddha,” a remake of the classic Hollywood film “Forrest Gump.” Co-starring Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh, the film, unfortunately, had a lackluster performance at the box office, prompting Aamir to announce a temporary hiatus from acting to focus on his family. However, with “Sitare Zameen Par” and his other exciting production ventures, fans can look forward to his return to the silver screen.
