Shah Rukh Khan is back and is back with a bang. The actor not only released a moving poster for his upcoming film, Pathaan, but also gave his first stage play in many years, on Sunday. The actor danced on stage at the annual Mumbai police event, Umang.
The actor was wearing a black suit and shades as he chased after his songs, including I Am the Best in his film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, with a stick, and several back dancers dressed in white. A video of his performance hit the internet recently.
The event was held in BKC, Mumbai and was attended by a few Bollywood and television celebrities. Shehnaaz Gill sang Punjaab ban song with Anil Kapoor at the event. Rakhi Sawant made a catwalk on stage, along with a little girl. She was in a heavy red lehenga and accompanied her mother on stage, to spread awareness about cancer. Rakhi’s boyfriend Adil Khan also joined him in the event. Mumbai police received at least R4 crore at an Umang event hosted by a police welfare fund.
Shah Rukh has an impressive three-film program, namely Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. The actor unveiled the Pathaan poster on Friday, during his 30th year in the film industry. He made Instagram live and provided answers to questions asked by his followers. Shah Rukh will appear alongside Chennai Express and Om Shanti Om Deepika Padukone in Pathaan. The film also stars John Abraham and will enter theaters on January 25 next year. Shah Rukh also has Atlee’s Jawan. The actor appeared to be beaten and bandaged in a way that has never been seen in the comedy point of the film. He will also appear in Rajkumar Hirani’s play Dunki, starring Taapsee Pannu.
