Prime Minister Modi participated in a daredevil stunts event organized by CRPF’s women personnel at the Statue of Unity near Kevadia, Gujarat, to commemorate Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) follows Sardar Patel’s vision and is considered the founding force behind its establishment. The event also featured performances by artists from villages along the India-China border.
Amit Shah Flags Off ‘Run for Unity’ on Rashtriya Ekta Divas
In New Delhi’s Patel Chowk, a special event was held to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ or National Unity Day. President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Patel. Home Minister Amit Shah, during his address, highlighted Sardar Patel’s monumental contribution to national unity, emphasizing that he was the reason behind a united India. Shah recounted Sardar Patel’s tireless efforts in bringing together the various princely states that were divided during British rule at the time of India’s independence.
