Rahul Gandhi starts shifting his belongings before leaving the official bungalow

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi started moving his belongings from his 12-year old Tughlaq Lane residence when he was asked to vacate the premises by April 22 following his disqualification from the Lok Sabha.

Two trucks were seen parked outside his residence and the items were later moved to his mother’s residence at 10, Janpath.

Sources said Gandhi is likely to vacate the official bungalow allotted to him soon. While Rahul Gandhi has seen a number of houses, he may also choose to stay with his mother and Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi.

The Lok Sabha secretariat issued a summons to Gandhi to vacate the premises by April 22 following his disqualification as an MP following his conviction and two year sentence by a Surat court in a defamation case.

A few years ago, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was also asked to vacate her Lodhi Estate bungalow as the SPC cover was removed from her security.
