Mr. Likith YP won the bronze medal in prototyping skill at WorldSkills Competition 2022

Mr. Likith YP won the bronze medal in prototyping skill at WorldSkills Competition 2022 (WSC2022). Likith has completed his Diploma in Mechatronics from Toyata Technical Training Institute and has been training for this competition since January 2022. He also won the Indian National Skills Competition “IndiaSkills 2021” in Prototype Modeling Skill. He was trained by Toyota India expert Mr. Bhaskar Singh, who is also the lead expert in prototyping skills on the WorldSkills International platform.

The WorldSkills Competition is an international competition of skilled youth among the member countries of WorldSkills International. The previous WorldSkills competition was supposed to be held in Shanghai, but due to the covid outbreak there, it was moved to 15 countries to take place in a span of 2 months. The Prototype Modeling Skills Competition was the start of WSC2022 in Phase 1. WSC 2022 Phase 1 was held in Bern, Switzerland from 7 to 10 September 2022.

WorldSkills India of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the auspices of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is the implementing body for conducting skill competitions in India and training the youth to represent the country in international skill competitions.
