•The location of the earthquake was identified as 48 kilometers northeast of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India, according to the National Center for Seismology.

•Just the previous day, strong tremors were felt in Delhi and the National Capital Region following an earthquake in Haryana’s Faridabad. The estimated magnitude of this earthquake was 3.1, and it struck at 4:08 pm.
•The epicenter of this earthquake was situated 9 kilometers east of Faridabad, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers.
•Earlier, on October 4, a significant earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 had struck Nepal, resulting in strong tremors felt across northern India, including Delhi and the National Capital Region, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. This earthquake took place around 3 pm.
•Following the mainshock, two aftershocks of magnitude 3.6 and magnitude 3.1 occurred within a 10-kilometer radius. These seismic events caused panic among residents in high-rise buildings and tall office structures, leading many to evacuate to safer areas.
