NIA officials have said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at multiple locations in the Baramula district in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the reports, the officials have said that the places raided include the residence of ex-District President of Jamate Islamia Abdul Gani Wani and Peer Tanveer.
Out of all the places being raided, presently raids are being undertaken at the residences of former District President Jamate Islamia Abdul Gani Wani and Peer Tanveer. Raids are being undertaken in Shopian and Turkwangan along with Pattan town and Baramula, the officials reportedly said.
The residence of ex-district president of Jamiat Islamia is located in Arm Mohalla, in the Pattan area.
The investigating agency was working on several inputs and leads for the last six months, while actively gathering information on people involved in anti-national activities. A decision was made later on to conduct raids and gather further evidence.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has not released any official statement, as yet.
