Weeks after her wedding to actor Sidharth Malhotra, actress Kiara Advani took to Instagram on Wednesday to release a slew of unseen family pictures. She shared candid pictures to wish her mother, Genevieve Jaffrey, a happy birthday. It contains pictures from the wedding day, one from the mehendi and one from the Sangeet night.
Sharing them on Instagram, Kiara simply wrote: “Mummaaaaaa. Happy birthday to my loving, caring and praying mother. I am blessed to be your daughter.’
The first picture from the wedding day shows Kiara posing with her twin mother in a delicate pink lehenga. The following is another image from the same day, but in monochrome format. It shows Kiara sandwiched between her mom and her brother Mishaal Advani. As her mother pouts at her, she closes her eyes but has a big smile on her face.
The third is Kiara and Sidharth’s mehendi family photo. It shows the couple posing with Kiara’s father, mother and brother. Sidharth is seen with his hands around Kiara’s waist. The picture is followed by one from the Sangeet night, where Kiara gets kissed on the cheek by her mom, who was socializing with her in a golden attire.
Designer Manish Malhotra, who designed family ensembles for wedding celebrations, also wished her moms. He wrote in the comments section, “Happy Birthday Janam.” A fan wrote: “Uggghhh this is just gorgeous @jaanamge aunty looking gorgeous as usual.” Another wrote: “Beautiful daughter with a beautiful mother.” The comment also read, “Mat karo photo release, mujhe exams pe focus karna hai (Don’t post more pictures, I have to focus on my exams).”
Kiara and Sidharth tied the knot on February 7 in a traditional Hindu ceremony at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer. It was a very guarded affair, with only select industry celebrities on the guest list. The couple hosted a reception for Sidharth’s family in Delhi and then within a week for Kiara’s family and their Bollywood friends in Mumbai.
