Japan cancels Tsunami warning that was issued after volcano eruption in Tonga

Tokyo, Japan: The tsunami warning issued by Japan after the underwater volcano eruption in the waters of Tonga has been called-off as the threat has passed.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the warning was cancelled at 14:00 local time.

The underwater Hunga Ha’apai Volcano had erupted on Saturday, sparking tsunami alerts across the South Pacific.
