In his first meeting with the Minister after taking over as Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rai, who was a Professor at the University of Delhi before taking up his current assignment, said he was following very closely to step up and get out of the box. Combination with results

He said he was “very impressed” with Dr. Jitendra Singh’s decision to convene joint meetings of seven different science-related departments, namely Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Earth Sciences, India Meteorological Department. (IMD), Atomic Energy and Space. This merger has led to better results for Research Projects with less accumulation or waste of resources.

The Vice-Chancellor asked DrJitendra Singh to interview students at Jammu University for some of the future science projects presented under his ministry direction. This, he said, would make students in the surrounding region better visible.

Integration method under PM

DrJitendra Singh said he was pleased that the new Vice-Chancellor was proud of his proposal for an integrated approach, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which he was trying to improve in the Indian Government. The Minister said he had asked the departments not to come up with different projects but projects that should be based on bodies, and according to them the different departments and ministers could come together to have a single agenda.

At the same time, DrJitendra Singh said, research at the University should be linked to StartUps and enable StartUps to continue, not only academic streams need to be integrated but the industry also needs to be made equal partners with equal investment. of resources.

Mentorship Program for Different Colleges

DrJitendra Singh informed the Vice-Chancellor that the Department of Science and Technology has embarked on a program to educate various College and University students where a teacher can manage a potential academic and train him or her in a sustainable career-oriented career.

Dr. Jitendra Singh said, technological interventions in education are a blessing to the students of this generation and asked Professor Rai to keep the intellect in full harmony with the students who are rapidly moving forward due to the availability of knowledge, methods, methods and talent. He emphasized that the job of academics today is not to award degrees but to educate them so that they can have a simple life that is possible only when a young person is able to earn a living, instead of pursuing a government career. .

Northern India Educational Institution

DrJitendra Singh said Jammu is rapidly emerging as the North India Educational Institution. He has requested extensive integration between various Jammu educational institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, AIIMS, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, National Institute of High Altitude Medicine in Baderwah, Industrial Biotech Park in Kathua, the first place in North India. Focusing on the issue of the National Education Policy 2020, DrJitendra Singh today said the dual goal of NEP-2020 was to correct past mistakes for many years and to present current provisions in line with current global conditions.
