India and China have agreed to expeditiously resolve outstanding issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, a joint statement said on Tuesday, a day after the two sides concluded two days of military talks.
Both sides held a positive, constructive and in-depth discussion to resolve outstanding issues along the LAC in the western sector, In accordance with the instructions provided by the management, they exchanged views in an open and forward-looking manner.
On 13-14 August, the 19th round of India-China Corps Commanders meeting was held at the Chushul-Moldo border post on the Indian side. It was the first time that high-level military talks on the ongoing border dispute lasted for two days.

They agreed to expeditiously resolve the remaining issues and maintain the pace of dialogue and negotiations through military and diplomatic channels, meanwhile, both sides have agreed to maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas.
Indian and Chinese troops are locked in a more than three-year standoff at certain flashpoints in eastern Ladakh, though both sides have withdrawn from several areas after extensive diplomatic and military negotiations.
