The traditionally designed helicopter launched by the Anti-Tank Guided Missile ‘HELINA’ was successfully tested on April 11, 2022 at a higher level as part of a user verification test. The flight test was carried out jointly by the scientific research teams of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force (IAF). The flight test was performed with an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and an arrow was fired. successfully participate in targeted simulations. The missile is led by an Imaging Infra-Red (IIR) Seeker that operates in lock mode before launch. It is one of the most advanced anti-tank weapons in the world.
In the continuation of the verification tests conducted at Pokhran in Rajasthan, evidence of effective operation at higher altitudes paves the way for its integration into ALH. The experiment was confirmed by senior military officials and senior DRDO scientists.
