RakshaMantri Shri Rajnath Singh, along with Secretary of Defense Dr Ajay Kumar and a team of senior officials, held a meeting with United States of America Secretary of Defense Mr Lloyd Austin, accompanied by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other senior officials. at the Pentagon on April 11, 2022. Two Defense Ministers reviewed the entire combination of defense cooperation and regional security. Both Ministers acknowledged the importance of India-US defense cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific and the wider Indian Ocean region.
Special activities
Discuss ways to deepen the Greater Defense Partnership (MDP) and work together to improve the quality and scope of defense cooperation. They reviewed military and military interaction, information sharing, improved organizational cooperation, and the ability of the Armed Forces to work closely together under collaborative communication systems. In this context, the close cooperation of the Special Operation Forces came to the fore. The two Ministers discussed ways of closer co-operation between the defense industry. RakshaMantri emphasized the need for co-operative development, co-production between Indian and US companies and invited American companies in India to manufacture and refurbish defense equipment.
