India and Germany express satisfaction with ongoing bilateral Science and Technology cooperation

India and Germany have agreed to work together to focus on Artificial Intelligence (‘AI’) StartUps and AI research and its use in sustainable health care and health care, said Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Science after “two nations”. “Interviews with the German Minister of Education and Research, Bettina Stark-Watzinger.

DrJitendra Singh recalled that in November 2019, during Chancellor Merkel’s visit to Delhi, Germany and India they agreed to establish a joint artificial Intelligence research program. They also decided to extend the Indo-German Partnership for Higher Education for another four years, with donations of 3.5 Million Euros each.

India and Germany have both expressed satisfaction with the ongoing Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the two countries which is one of the strategic pillars of our bilateral relations. Studies, Research Centers and Industry in both countries have strong relationships and play an important role in our strategic research and development partnerships.

On the third day of her official communication in Berlin, Dr. Jitendra Singh noted that both countries now operate in areas bordering on science and technology, including Electric Mobility, Cyber ​​Physical System, Quantum Technologies, Future Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen Fuel, Deep Ocean. research was also proposed to improve collaboration in these areas. The two countries have begun developing a map of each other’s strengths in areas such as the use of Artificial Intelligence in Sustainability and Healthcare.

Both Ministers expressed satisfaction with the recently concluded MOU between the Department of Science and Technology, Government. of India and the German Research Foundation (DFG) to support the International Research Training Groups (IRTG) program will enhance cooperation in developing skills focused on training Indian and German students to pursue a PhD program. The first invitation to invite proposals under this program from Indian and German research teams is already open.

Both Ministers are pleased that a number of recent efforts have been made to develop human skills in science and engineering, including Women’s Participation in Science and Engineering (WISER) to facilitate the entry of female researchers into S&T programs and the Paired Early Career Fellowships. an inclusive ecosystem of Indo-German S&T cooperation through the exchange of young researchers on both sides. Industrial Fellowships aimed at exposing the industries of new Indian researchers in the German industrial ecosystem.

DrJitendra Singh noted that the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is critical to innovation. The current government places great emphasis on promoting a range of innovative value, business and IP production. India’s new system is driven by purpose rather than a process driven by a focus on purchasing and accessibility.

Bettina Stark-Watzinger supported the idea of ​​further strengthening the two countries’ scientific cooperation by working together in the emerging areas of science and technology where Germany and India have the potential to work together and serve two communities.
