It is the first traditional spirit introduced by the Indian Navy’s anti-aircraft missile system. The arrow followed the desired maritime navigation route and reached the targeted direction with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring control, direction and purpose algorithms. All sub-systems have operated satisfactorily. Sensors used throughout the test range and nearby impact point tracked the missile track and captured all events.

The arrow has used many new technologies, including a native built-in helicopter launcher. The arrow control system incorporates a modern navigation system and integrated avionics. The flight test was confirmed by senior DRDO and Indian Navy officials. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO, Indian Navy and related groups on the first flight development test. He said, India has acquired a high level of expertise in traditional construction and development of Missile programs.
