Union Minister DrJitendra Singh visits Baramulla, outlining development status under Aspirational District

As part of the Union Government’s special program to reach out to the public for consideration of various development barriers, the Minister of State (IC) Minister of Science and Technology; Minister of State (IC) Department of Earth Sciences; MoS Office of the Prime Minister and Department of Labor, Public Complaints and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh today held a meeting at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla in J&K and reviewed the progress of the work being done under the Aspirational District (ADP) program.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Trade Unions said the Central Government was committed to improving the quality of life of its citizens and ensuring inclusive growth. He said the ADP was very focused on improving people’s ability to participate fully in the developing economy.

The minister said in areas such as PM FasalBimaYojana, the electronic National Agriculture Market, the Bharat Net center in each Panchayat, investment would be one of the issues to be addressed under the ADP.

Discussing the method of the program Drs. Singh said districts are encouraged to first reach the best district in their province, and then aspire to be one of the best in the country, competitively, and learning from others.

Commending the work done in Baramulla under the ADP, he said through the desired region it contributes to different levels of work culture, social culture and ethical culture in order to achieve a set standard. He praised the effectiveness of the model and said it was based on a comprehensive scientific approach to real-time experiments.

He said the government was committed to Baramulla achieving its highest level of capacity for sustainable development and sustainable economic growth from time to time. Acknowledging the region’s biodiversity, he said Baramulla was one of the oldest J&K districts with large forest reserves. He expressed his desire to organize biotechnology workshops in the region to raise awareness about technological innovation so that cost and efficiency can be achieved.

After a thorough review of the various principles that contributed to making Baramulla one of the most aspiring regions in India, Dr. Singh praised the role of regional administration in its efforts to achieve under ADP. He also instructed the relevant officials to work hard to be among the top of the Program.

Meanwhile, various issues hampering progress have been fully discussed at a meeting that the minister has confirmed will be addressed in a timely manner. Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and other district administrators were also present at the meeting.

It is noteworthy that the Institute instructed the Union Ministers to visit the interested regions to receive a formal examination of the basics of the program. Launched by the Prime Minister in January 2018, the ADP aims to quickly and effectively transform undeveloped regions across the country. The broader framework of the program includes Integration, Collaboration and Competition between regions through monthly delta planning, all driven by mass mobility.

Another focus of the program is to continue to make progress at block level within each region. Districts are encouraged to monitor the progress of blocks that lead to regional development. The ADP is actually aimed at achieving sustainable development goals, leading to national progress.
