Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said the guidelines under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) require more flexibility based on the needs and circumstances of all countries and called on the central government to consider reviewing it accordingly.Speaking at the inauguration of the PMGSY road construction in the Nilambur area of ​​Malappuram district in Kerala, Congress said he had written a letter to the Minister of Road Transport to consider reviewing the guidelines.”I hope they will take a good look at it,” he said, adding that he had provided a list of 11 roads to be included under PMGSY for repairs and maintenance.
In addition to the opening of the road construction, Gandhi also took part in a special dedication ceremony in Nilambur in connection with the house built there by Samskarika Sahiti, a member of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), to a woman who was allegedly denied housing under it Life Mission of the provincial government after losing its home due to flooding.
Gandhi said at the event the house under Life Mission was denied to the woman, although she deserved it, because of her political views and support for the ANC.The Member of Parliament for Wayanad, afterwards, called for several ambulances from the Wandoor area of ​​Malappuram.
