Electric car manufacturer Lucid Group on Thursday raised the prices of most models since June as it faces rising consumer goods costs, but said it would honor the current reservation in an effort to avoid a backlash against its competitor.
As of June 1, new bookings in the United States will cost $ 154,000 for Air Grand Touring, $ 107,400 for Air Touring and $ 87,400 for Air Pure models, the company said. “Like many companies in our industry, we continue to face the challenges of global service delivery and logistics, including the closure of Covid-related factories in China,” said Chief Financial Officer Sherry House.
Despite the challenges, the company reaffirmed its annual forecast of producing 12,000 to 14,000 Cars. Amazon-sponsored Rivian Automotive had earlier this year reduced the prices on electric cars that had been booked before March 1 after dealing with customer reverses following a 20% increase in prices. .
