British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has indicated he is ready to grant additional visas to India by renewing this year’s free trade agreement which could boost international trade by billions of pounds. Speaking about the world’s second largest airplane to a densely populated country, Johnson said he was ready to tackle an issue that could jeopardize negotiations.
“I have been urging talented people to come to this country,” Johnson told reporters. “We are short in terms of the numbers of hundreds of thousands of people in our economy and we need a way forward and we will do it.” Britain has made the acquisition of a trade agreement with India one of the most important issues for Brexit as a minister, apart from the European Union’s trade policy, in the policy of preparing for the rapidly growing economy in the Indo-Pacific region.
Good opportunities for Indians
India is looking for more opportunities for Indians to live and work in Britain. Any trade agreement will likely depend on the relaxing rules and the reduction of fees for Indian students and professionals in the country. India and the former British colony now have strong trade ties, with over a million Indians living in Britain after decades of emigration. Britain wants to get into the richness of central India and their desire for high quality British products such as Scotch whiskey.
They hope that India can become a customer for its immature technology and that trade in services can also be strengthened. Britain said the trade agreement could almost double Britain’s exports to India, and by 2035 it had increased total trade by $ 28 billion ($ 38 billion) a year. Total trade in 2019 was worth $ 23 billion, according to British statistics.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has signed a memorandum of understanding on granting additional visas to India to secure a free trade agreement after Britain left the European Union, I have been praising talented immigrantsand always favors talented people who have come to this country, Johnson said.
