He said, today, India is looking at Biotech sector growth from $ 70 Billion to $ 150 Billion over the next 4 years and added that this could not be achieved without active participation of women.After releasing a book based on the “Compendium of 75 Women Biotech Entrepreneurs” at the Biotech Start-up Expo in PragatiMaidan here, Dr. Jitendra Singh was speaking on the topic “The Way Forward”. He said that in the last eight years of the Modi Government, the number of Biotech-owned women’s companies has grown exponentially and this could best be described as empowering women, rather than just empowering women.

According to DrJitendra Singh, DST and DBT in the Union Science and Technology Department have special programs to attract female scientists and provide employment opportunities for unemployed female scientists. The Minister said that market conditions, access to various business opportunities, and the readiness of women entrepreneurs to enter the world of business ownership create an effective trifecta.The Minister said that women scientists have taken up space in Space, Nuclear Science, Drone and Nano-technology and added that many major scientific projects, including the Gaganyaan mass project to be launched in 2023, are led by. female scientists. He said, one of the key pillars of New India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the success story of women founders in the country.

DrJitendra Singh has revealed that the number of Biotech startups in the country has increased from 50 to more than 5,000 over the past eight years, thanks to the support and favorable conditions given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi since taking office in 2014. is expected to exceed 10,000 by 2025, he added. He added that Biotechnology is the key that allows the technology to drive the bio-economy known as the solar system. He announced that India is ranked 12th in the world in biotech, third in Asia-pacific and the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, “The role of science and technology in ensuring a just and equitable future for all people has been well-known, but over the past few years it has made this issue worse than ever. He added that in the current Amrit – Kaal era, industries, large and small, and academics must come together to build and support this ecosystem and innovative culture. Each partner brings his or her own expertise, resources and commitment to support this ecosystem, adds the Minister.

Dr. Jitendra Singh released two books, “75 Biotech Products Made in 75th Anniversary of Freedom” and “A Combination of 75 Biotech Women Entrepreneurs” at the event. He said, the “Biotech Start-up Products” brochure with a sample list of products and technologies is proof of the unconditional support and holdings provided to various stakeholders ultimately transforming the efforts of founders and entrepreneurs into tangible products. The Minister congratulated the good work done by the first biotech organization. Onus is among the stakeholders including Industry, Investors, and Agencies, public procurement organizations to help them grow and grow.Dr. Rajesh S. Gokhale, DBT secretary thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for giving significant time to the Biotech Start-up Expo-2022 and for encouraging young minds to take up the challenge of innovation so that our country could be ‘AtmaNirbhar’. DrGokhale also thanked the Minister of Trade Unions DrJitendra Singh for his support and leadership and that DBT would make every effort to ensure that this momentum is carried out properly.On the second day of the Biotech Start-up Expo, B2B meetings were organized along with the launch session in front of prominent conference planners and company leaders, Manufacturers, Investors, business consultants, industry representatives from ABLE, CII, FICCI, FSII, AiMed, Academic. directors & experts and business advisors (TiE) were part of the promotion session.
