The 20-year-old Indian rider now has the most points in the competition with three.
Rajiv climbed up to 12th place in race 2 of the AP250 class after starting in 13th place. His consistent performance to the finish line earned him an 11th place finish. Rajiv currently has a total of 8 points after the first round has ended.
“My sole aim today was to maintain a consistent level of play and get more points for the team. I got off to a terrific start and was able to pass two cyclists. This round has allowed us to put our tactics to the test and enhance our performance on the track. I’m optimistic that in the next rounds, I’ll be able to push harder and achieve a spot in the top group,” Rajiv Sethu stated in a statement.
Md Zaqhwan Zaidi of Honda Asia-Dream Racing, a Malaysian rider, displayed outstanding strength on the track in the ASB1000cc class. Zaqhwan, who had led from the start, had fallen to fourth place in the final circuits. The Malaysian rider, on the other hand, raced boldly and pushed his motorcycle harder in the thrilling last lap to finish a tight second in Race 2.
Sarthak Chavan of the IDEMITSU Honda Racing India squad made history by being the first Indian rider to break into the Top 7 group in the Thailand Talent Cup 2022 – Honda’s development programme for Asian riders based on the NSF250R.
