Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has come out in support of Adipurush Flim

Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has come out in support of Adipurush and its director Om Raut amid raging controversies over the film’s trailer. MNS leader Ameya Khopkar, condemning the BJP leaders’ threat that the film would not be allowed, asked if BJP leader Ram Kadam had seen Ravana in real life. One of the reasons why the trailer has drawn criticism is Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of Ravana.

“Has Ram Kadam ever seen Ravana in his life or does he have a photo of Ravana in his pocket? You have to give freedom to directors. Giving freedom does not mean disrespecting Devi and Devtas. I am against this controversy and MNS is giving full support to this film (Adipurush),” said Ameya Khopkar of MNS.

Claiming that Om Raut is a true ‘Hindutvawadi’ and cannot hurt Hindu sentiments, the MNS leader said that Om Raut v pat designed and executed a laser show depicting the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. “After watching the trailer and for your dirty politics you are stopping this movie. They must think outside of politics.

MNS does not accept this type of dirty politics. It is very easy to say we are against this movie but 400 to 500 people are feeding their stomachs from this movie. MNS is supporting all religions, be it Hindu or Muslim. There is no difference for us. First watch this film and then decide, only when you watch the trailer, you can’t decide whether it is right or wrong.”

The film will be released and MNS will not accept any ‘gundagardi’, MNS leader said. The trailer of the Prabhas starrer was released in Ayodhya on October 2 and immediately became a topic of apolitical controversy. BJP’s Ram Kadam said the film will not be allowed to release even if they make some changes. He also said that there should be a ban on those making such films in the industry. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra and the Vishva Hindu Parishad objected to the trailer, while Ayodhya Ram temple head priest demanded a ban on the film.

Such pitiful tactical defense of anti-Hindu films is expected from NCPCongress as well as Penguin Sena. These three parties have always humiliated Hindutva and Hindus. We will keep speaking up and always raise our voice when the film industry shows Hindus in a negative light — Ram Kadam (@ramkadam) October 6, 2022. BJP’s Ram Kadam criticized Uddhav Sena, NCP and Congress over the issue and said that these three parties have degraded Hindutva and Hindus. In Lucknow, a lawyer approached the Chief Justice’s court to initiate criminal proceedings against the actors and makers of Adipurush for “misrepresenting Hindu gods”.
