27 Congress corporators join NCP in the presence of Ajit Pawar

Malegaon (Maharashtra): In a huge blow to the Congress, 27 corporators of the Congress Party joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday.

All of the corporators joined NCP in the presence of Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and NCP leader. According to the reports, among the 27 corporators to join NCP is Tahira Shaikh, the Malegaon Mayor.

This development holds importance as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election is scheduled to be held this year.
