FIR with allegations of sexual harassment leveled by female wrestlers registered by Delhi Police

Delhi Police on Friday registered two FIRs in connection with allegations of sexual harassment leveled by female wrestlers against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. On complaints from female wrestlers, two FIRs were registered at the Connaught Place police station.

The first FIR relates to allegations made by a minor who is registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act along with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code relating to outrageous modesty, he said.

The second FIR has been registered for conducting a comprehensive investigation into the complaints of the adult complainants under the relevant sections of the IPC relating to outrage of modesty, the officer said, adding that investigations into both the FIRs have been initiated in earnest.
