After battling with an extended certification process, director Vinod Tiwari’s ‘THE CONVERSION’ has finally received the green light from the Censor Board and is all set to hit the theatres on April 22, 2022 globally.
Based on the social subject of religious conversion, the film and its creators were embroiled in a months long disagreements for a suitable certification for the picture, owing to the highly delicate nature of the film’s subject.
Vinod Tiwari said that when it comes to interfaith marriages, deceiving and eluding in the name of religion has become a very common issue. We now have enough official data to determine that Hindu girls have disproportionately been the victims of the bulk of recorded incidents of religious conversion in India. As a result of the current state of things, numerous state governments were forced to enact legislation to address the threat, he added.
Tiwari went on to describe his months-long battle with the Censor Board, saying that the Censor Board’s patience and assistance are greatly appreciated. Everyone was well all aware of the delicate nature of the film’s subject matter. Tiwari was very certain right from the start to see that the picture should not devolve into another jingoistic political brawl.
As per the reports, the producers of the movie have started the release process as the film is set to be released worldwide on the 22nd of April 2022.
