Indian shares fellasleep NSEI fell 0.79% to 15,724.5, as of 0409 GMT

Indian stocks plummeted on Wednesday after a four-day meeting, burdened with losses in all sectors, as concerns over high oil prices and inflation returned.

The NSE Nifty 50 .NSEI index fell 0.79% to 15,724.5, from 0409 GMT, while the S&P BSE Sensex .BSESN fell 0.81% to 52,748.04. The rupee INR = IN decreased by 0.23% to a record low of 78.96 per dollar.

Continuous sad sentiment in all Asian countries was a nightly data indicating that the U.S. consumer confidence index decreased to the lowest level since February 2021. MKTS / GLOB

Nifty Bank index .NSEBANK decreased by 1.4%, while Nifty FMCG index .NIFTYFMCG decreased by 1.3%.
