The Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” hit the screens during the Valentine’s Week, anticipating a surge in audience interest leading up to Valentine’s Day. According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film made an estimated ₹6.5 crore nett in India on its opening day.
As per the portal’s analysis, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” recorded an overall 14.92 percent occupancy in Hindi cinema halls on Friday. The morning shows witnessed an 8.8 percent occupancy, while the afternoon shows saw a slight uptick to 11.79 percent. The evening and night shows registered 13.62 percent and 25.46 percent occupancy, respectively.
The movie delves into the realm of an improbable love story set against the backdrop of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Shahid Kapoor portrays a robot scientist who develops emotions and ultimately ties the knot with Kriti Sanon’s character, Sifra, an intellectually advanced female robot.
Penned and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar. Alongside Kapoor and Sanon, the film also features veteran actor Dharmendra. It was released in theaters on February 9, aiming to captivate audiences during the Valentine’s season.
In a review by Aanworld “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” was described as a somewhat lackluster affair that struggles to maintain engagement, relying heavily on its attractive lead pair. The review noted that the film’s saving grace lies in its musical sequences, which may provide some enjoyment for viewers.
