In a shocking turn of events, Sanjay Shah, the CEO of Vistex, a US-based software firm, lost his life, and another company official, Raju Datla, suffered serious injuries during the silver jubilee celebrations at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The unfortunate incident occurred when both executives entered an iron cage, intended to be lowered from a height as part of the celebratory event.
The silver jubilee celebrations, planned for two days, took a tragic turn during a seemingly routine event. Shah and Datla were inside the iron cage, which was supposed to be lowered onto the dais, marking the commencement of the festivities. However, a devastating mishap unfolded when one side of the iron chain supporting the cage snapped, causing both individuals to fall over 15 feet onto the concrete dais.
Authorities were quick to respond, rushing the injured to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Regrettably, Sanjay Shah succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Raju Datla remains in serious condition. The Abdullapurmet police station registered a case against the Film City event management authorities based on a complaint from another company official.
Vistex, headquartered in Illinois, specializes in revenue management solutions and services. With a global presence, including 20 offices and over 2,000 employees, the firm serves prominent brands like GM, Barilla, and Bayer.
