India is preparing for the platinum celebration of its Republic Day, marking the 75th anniversary, with a spectacular display of military prowess and cultural heritage at the ‘Kartavya Path’ in New Delhi. French President Emmanuel Macron, the chief guest for the celebrations, began his visit with sightseeing in Jaipur, accompanied by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The grand parade on Republic Day will feature various events and performances, with President Droupadi Murmu leading the celebrations.

Parade Time and Route:
The Republic Day parade will begin at 10:30 am and last for approximately 90 minutes.
The ceremony will commence with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the National War Memorial to pay tributes to martyrs.
The parade will follow a route from Vijay Chowk to Kartavya Path.
Arrival of Presidents:
Presidents Droupadi Murmu and Emmanuel Macron will arrive in the ‘Traditional Buggy,’ escorted by the President’s Bodyguard.
President’s Bodyguard:
This Republic Day is special for the President’s Bodyguard as it has completed 250 years of service since its raising in 1773.
Kartavya Path Venue:
Kartavya Path will accommodate around 77,000 people, with 42,000 reserved for the general public.
Flag Hoisting and Anthem:
The national flag will be unfurled, followed by the national anthem with a 21-gun salute.
Four Mi-17 IV helicopters will shower flower petals on the audience at Kartavya Path.
Parade Commencement:
President Murmu will take the salute, and the parade will be commanded by Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar.
Gallantry Awards:
Param Vir Chakra and Ashok Chakra winners will be part of the parade.
French Contingent:
A combined band and marching contingent of the French Armed Forces will participate, along with aircraft flyovers.
Indian Armed Forces:
The parade will feature the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, showcasing their capabilities and achievements.
An all-women tri-service contingent will march down Kartavya Path for the first time.
Tableaux and Themes:
Tableaux will depict themes such as ‘Nari Shakti’ and ‘Sea Power Across the Oceans Through Indigenisation.’
The Indian Air Force tableau is themed ‘Bharatiya Vayu Sena: Saksham, Sashakt, Aatmanirbhar.’

Winners of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, recognizing exceptional abilities in various fields, will be part of the celebrations.
