Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra respond to Preity Zinta’s post on face harassment

Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal and Malaika Arora among many others reacted to Preity Zinta’s recent post. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Preity shared how an unknown woman tried to take a picture of her daughter Gia. She later ‘planted a big wet kiss’ next to Gia’s mouth. Preity also spoke about how a “handicapped man kept trying to stop her” for money.

In her post, Preity Zinta also said that “most importantly, my children are not part of the package”. She added that they are not meant to be ‘preyed on, so please leave my children alone’. The actor urged people not to come up to her children Gia and Jai “for photos or touch/grab them”, adding that they are babies and “should be treated like babies, not celebrities”.

Reacting to the post, Hrithik Roshan commented, “(Red heart emoji) Well done Pree.” Arjun Rampal said, “Call me next time, he will sort it out (red heart emoji).” Malaika Arora wrote: “You said it loud and clear (person raises both hands in celebration emoji).”

Priyanka Chopra posted an emoji of a person raising both arms in celebration, an open-mouthed face and clapping hands. Lilly Singh commented: “Good for standing up. I know it can be hard. But it’s important and true.”

On Instagram, Preity shared a video of a man in a wheelchair watching and tapping her car. She captioned the post: “Two events this week shook me up a bit. 1 involving my daughter Gia – where a woman tried to take a photo of her. When we politely asked her not to leave, she then suddenly took my daughter in.” arm and planted a big wet kiss on her mouth and ran off saying what a cute baby she is. This woman lives in an elite building and happened to be in the garden where my children were playing. If I wasn’t a celebrity, I probably would have reacted badly, but I kept my cool because I didn’t want to make a scene.”

Preity wrote, “Here you can see the 2nd incident. I had to catch a plane and this disabled man tried to stop me. Over the years he harassed me for money and I gave it to him when I could. This time when he asked for money I said sorry , I don’t have cash today, just a credit card. The lady with me gave him some money from her purse. He threw it back at her because it wasn’t enough and became aggressive. You can see he had been following us for a while and became more aggressive.”

“The photographers thought this incident was funny. Instead of helping us, they filmed and laughed. NOBODY told him not to follow the car and bother us because someone might get hurt. If there was an accident, I would be blamed. My being a celebrity would be questioned. Bollywood would be blamed and a lot of negativity would be spread. I think it’s high time people realized that I am a human being first, then a mom and then a celebrity. Also no I have to constantly apologize for my success and be bullied for it because I worked very hard to get where I am,” she also said.

“I have the same right as anyone else in this country to live the way I want so please think before you judge and stop blaming everything on celebrities. There are always 2 sides to the story. Most importantly my children are NOT part of the package and are not meant to be to prey on them so please leave my kids alone and don’t go after them for pictures, touch/hold them. They are babies and should be treated like babies not celebrities,” added Preity .

“I sincerely hope that the photographers who ask us for photos, videos and sound bytes also have the decency, humanity and maturity to act and help in the future instead of filming and laughing, because most of the time it’s not funny,” she concluded her post. Preity recently traveled to India. She stays with her husband Gene Goodenough and their children – Gia and Jai in Los Angeles, USA.
