President Droupadi Murmu arrived in the city in a special IAF aircraft on a two-day official visit to Telangana. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari and DGP Anjani Kumar were among those who welcomed her at the Begumpet airport. Rao presented her with a shawl and a bouquet. The President proceeded to the Raj Bhavan where she will stay overnight.
This is Murmu’s second visit to Telangana after assuming office in July 2022. The President will review the Combined Graduation Parade of the 211th Course at Air Force Academy Dundigal on Saturday.
