Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, MD NICSI reported on the scope of this MoU between NICSI and DSM DTU

The National Informatics Center Services Incorporated (NICSI), the Government of India Enterprise under the National Informatics Center, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), and Delhi School of Management (DSM), Delhi Technological University (DTU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding 24 May, 2022 before Drs. Rajendra Kumar, MeitY Additional Secretary and NICSI Chairman, Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, MD NICSI, Drs. Archana Singh. HoD, DSM DTU and Prof P. K. Suri DSM DTU Research and Development (R&D) and Consultation in the e-Governance area by combining resources / skills with each other.

Other senior officials of MeitY, NICSI and DSM DTU attended the event including Shri ShobhendraBahadur, Director MeitY and VO NICSI, Smt. Anjali Dhingra, Sr. GM &HoD CEDA NICSI, Shri Ashutosh P. Maurya, DGM NICSI, Shri Sunny Jain, CS NICSI, Prof. P. K. Suri DSM, Prof. Rajan Yadav DSM and Mr. Yashdeep Singh, Assistant Professor, DSM.

Digital transformation technology

At the event, Drs. Rajendra Kumar, Executive Secretary of MeitY and Chair of NICSI outlined MeitY’s vision for the use of digital transformation technology for the benefit of citizens and the efficient use of resources (staff, knowledge, infrastructure, etc.) in a concerted effort to improve efficiency. MeitY works with other Departments to increase the use of technology to facilitate understanding of specific areas such as agriculture, education, health care etc. how to solve problems in a group effort using professional knowledge. This MoU could be a boon to the MeitY& DTU ecosystem in the coming years by examining the technology and student engagement in ways to mature into new environments such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain etc. DSM expertise in the management environment will also assist NICSI in NICSI business development and planning.

Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, MD NICSI elaborated on the scope of this MoU between NICSI and DSM DTU and added that this partnership will benefit both organizations. DSM DTU students can explore the use of emerging technologies and develop a better understanding of the work environment of Government organizations / departments with hands-on display in the field of ICT management and eGovernance. This will also help Government to strengthen its internal system through better use of technology.

Prof. P. K. Suri of DSM DTU spoke on the work and activities of DSM DTU in the area of ​​technology especially in ICT & Governance and how this MoU could benefit both institutions in the long run. Drs. Archana Singh, HOD DSM expressed interest in the NICSI and DSM collaborative approach which includes student participation in research fields, data analysis, e-Governance processes and conducting conferences / workshops.
