PM Narendra Modi Chairs Council Meeting, Unveils ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ Vision

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a council of ministers meeting to outline a comprehensive plan for the next five years under the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047‘ vision, contingent upon the NDA forming a government after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections slated for April-May 2024.

During the meeting, officials discussed a 100-day action plan aimed at immediate steps post-election to implement the NDA’s five-year agenda. This roadmap for “Viksit Bharat” follows over two years of meticulous preparation, involving all ministries and extensive consultations with various stakeholders.

PM Modi’s vision for ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ has been a recurring theme in his speeches, aiming to transform India into a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years since Independence. The roadmap emphasizes economic growth, sustainable development goals, ease of living, ease of doing business, infrastructure development, and social welfare.

Central to the vision is inclusive economic participation, with the goal of positioning India as the world’s third-largest economy within the next five years under an NDA-led government. The BJP’s first list of candidates for the upcoming elections includes prominent leaders like PM Modi, home minister Amit Shah, and defence minister Rajnath Singh, reflecting a diverse representation.
