Amid an intense political blame game for Haryana’s violence, which spilled over from Mewat and stopped short of reaching Delhi, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday said the people of Mewat fought for India’s independence and resisted the Mughal onslaught. In a statement, some social media users described Mewat as the epicenter of the violence as a “Mini Pakistan“.

While Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said there was a conspiracy behind the violence that spiraled on Monday and Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Singh Chautala said the people of Mewat have always stood firmly behind India.
They fought when the Mughals attacked, they also fought for independence. dia or after the period of independence, Mewat has always stood firm with India. “The people of Mewat fought for the independence of India. What happened in Nuhu on Monday is unprecedented in the history of Haryana and those behind this incident must be identified and punished according to law,” said the Deputy CM.
