The P8I Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft for the Indian Navy has arrived in Darwin, Australia. The airline and its crew will be making operational changes in Darwin. During its stay, a team from the Indian Navy maritime patrol group, Albatross, is scheduled to join its counterparts from the 92 Wing of the Royal Australian Air Force. P8 aircraft from both countries will be conducting integrated operations in Anti-Submarine Warfare and surveillance, to improve awareness of maritime resources.
AUSINDEX Series
In recent times, increased cooperation between the two maritime countries, with the practice of two countries and more countries at sea, has improved cooperation and strengthened friendship bridges. The P8 aircraft, demonstrating its long-term reach, has worked collaboratively during the Malabar and AUSINDEX exercise series, and has a common understanding of operating procedures and information sharing. Seawater between Indonesia and Northern Australia is an area of ​​interest to both countries, which is the gateway to the Indian Ocean Region. Both India and Australia share their interests, in promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific and legal system in the region.
