Washington, US: As reported by Varity, Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali will feature in Onyx Collective’s limited series titled ‘The Plot’. He will also act as the executive producer of the project.
The eight episode series from Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel of the same name will be adapted by Abby Ajayi.
In the show, Ali will be playing the role of Jake, a struggling author who is ready to take advantage of any opportunity that might help resuscitate his career. When once in a lifetime opportunity arrives, Jake (Mahershala) commits to an act of literary theft that changes his life.
Jake is threatened by someone who knows his secret and ‘The Plot’ will follow his attempts to protect himself and the life he has built.
The series will stream on Hulu in the United States, Star Plus in Latin America and Disney Plus in all other territories.
