Four Maoists Killed in Encounter with Police in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum District

At least four Maoists were killed in an encounter with police in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district on Monday morning, officials said. The incident happened in Tonto and Goilkera areas. Six of the eight Maoists killed in the encounter were senior cadres and received a total reward of Rs 48 million, PTI news agency quoted the police as saying. These personnel belong to the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA). 1 of Naxalites and Maad Division Supply Squad.

Sundarraj P said in a press conference that ‘Maad Bachao Abhiyan’ (Operation against Maoists) was the second major success of Narayanpur police in a week and fourth in 45 days. Sunday.

“Abhujmaad (in Narayanpur district) has been experiencing Naxal violence and fear for 40 years, but now locals, tribals and villagers consider it free from violence, fear and Naxalism. “The successful anti-Naxal campaign has accelerated development,” he said.

On Saturday, the police claimed to have killed eight Maoists in an encounter in the forest near Kutul Farasbeda and Kodtameta villages in the district.

“Six of the eight killed were identified as Sudru, Wargesh, Mamta, Samira, Kosi and Moti, who worked in various capacities in the company PLGA 1st Maudist and took a bounty of 8 million euros on their heads.” IG said.
