Man Arrested for Molesting Female Co-Passenger on IndiGo Flight from Delhi to Chennai

Chennai: A 45-year-old man, identified as Rajesh Sharma, was arrested on charges of molesting a female co-passenger aboard an IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Chennai. Sharma, who works as a marble tile layer, was apprehended after the flight landed at Chennai Airport on October 9.

According to police reports, the woman, who had been traveling back home after a trip to Jaipur and Delhi, alleged that Sharma, seated behind her, inappropriately touched her during the flight. “The accused is alleged to have touched her inappropriately during the flight,” a police officer told our reporter.

Upon landing, the local police assisted the woman in filing a formal written complaint. An investigation into the incident is now underway.

IndiGo Airlines has yet to issue an official statement addressing the incident.
