Weather Focus: IMD has issued a warning related to rainfall/thunderstorm: Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over northeast India and adjoining Sub-Himalayan regions during next 5 days.

As per the IMD forecast and warning, various parts of the country may pose to heavy to very heavy rainfall. Under the influence of strong southwesterly winds from Bay of Bengal to northeast & adjoining east India in lower tropospheric levels, a widespread thunder showers very likely over northeast India and adjoining Sub-Himalayan regions during next 5 days.

An Isolated, heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next 5 days and heavy rainfall over Nagaland & Manipur during next five days.  Rainfall activity likely to increase over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal with fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds during 15^th -17^th  June.

Isolated/scattered rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds very likely to occur over West Madhya Pradesh and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during next 5 days. An Isolated heavy rainfall likely over East Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh during 14^th -16^th June and over Vidarbha on 15^th June, 2022.
