Space Focus: A surprisingly large black hole devours the earth’s size every second

Astronomers have discovered the brightest, fastest-growing black hole that ever existed 9 billion years ago. The largest cosmic business is 3 billion times larger than the sun and swallows part of an object the size of the Earth every second. The new largest black hole, known as J1144, is almost 500 times as Sagittarius A *, the largest black hole in the center of the Milky Way, which was recently photographed for the first time. The super-plasma ring around this vast space also emits 7,000 times more light than our entire galaxy.

Australian astronomers have discovered a cosmic juggernaut using data from the SkyMapper Southern Sky Survey of the Australian National University, which aims to pinpoint the entire sky in the Southern Hemisphere. Finding the largest black hole was the same as finding “the largest, most unexpected needle in a haystack,” the researchers said.

For more than 50 years astronomers have been searching for such things, “said lead researcher Christopher Onken, an astronomer in Canberra, in a statement. The black hole’s voracious appetite is similar to other large black holes. In general, the growth rates of these large cosmic organizations are declining as they become larger, according to the statement. This is probably due to the magnification of Hawking rays – the hot rays that are supposed to be emitted from black holes due to the effects of quantum mechanics.

The newly discovered black hole consumes so many objects that the horizon of the event – the border that passes empty, including light, which can escape – is unusually wide. “The planetary paths of our solar system could penetrate the horizon of the event,” said other author Samuel Lai, an ANU astronomer, in a statement.

Dark holes cannot be seen because they do not emit light. But astronomers can detect black holes because their gravitational pull pulls objects to the horizon so fast that the matter turns into a very hot plasma; this gives light to the ring around the black hole, called the accretion disk. The new behemoth accretion disk is the brightest ever detected, due to its large event length and extreme speed with which it pulls in the story. Researchers are “confident” that this is a record that will never be broken, according to the statement. The boundary of the black hole is so bright that even amateur astronomers can see it with a powerful enough telescope trained in the right atmosphere, researchers say.

The team is now trying to figure out why the big black hole is still so hungry for something so unusual. Scientists suspect that a catastrophic cosmic event must have contributed to the birth of this giant space. “Perhaps two large galaxies collided, placing a large amount of material in a black hole to feed it,” Onkensaid. However, it can be difficult to find out how it builds. Researchers doubt that we will ever find another black hole that is as large and growing as possible, making it difficult to examine the general theory about the formation of such cosmic objects.

“This black hole is so out of place that even though you would never say you would never say it, I do not believe we will ever find another one like this,” said other author Christian Wolf, an ANU astronomer and leader of the SkyMapper team, in a statement. “Actually we’re out of date when things like this can be hidden.” The study was submitted June 8 to preprint databasearXiv but has not been reviewed by peers. If accepted, it will be published in the journal Publications of the Astronomical Society of Australia. However, some researchers predict that there will be quintillion black holes in the universe, which account for about 1% of all matter in space, so there is a possibility that there may be a black hole that is more destructive in one placeawuziro.
