UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres https://www.un.org/sg/enwill visit Ankara before heading to Moscow next week to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and then to Ukraine for talks with President VolodymyrZelensky, a UN statement said on Saturday.

Guterres will visit the Turkish capital on Monday, where he will be received by President Tayyip Erdogan, the statement said. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Martin Griffiths, said on April 18 that Turkey had been a key host of the aid talks between Ukraine and Russia.
Eri Kaneko, Guterres’ spokesman, told a news conference Friday that Guterres would be heading to Moscow on Tuesday and meeting with Putin and holding a working and lunch meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, hoping to discuss what could be done to bring peacein Ukraine.
The United Nations also said on Friday that Guterres would meet with Zelensky on Thursday, Foreign Minister DmytroKuleba and staff at UN agencies to discuss growing humanitarian efforts.
