The Gurugram Zonal Unit (GZU) of the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has arrested one person under the provisions of the GST Act on charges of availing input tax credit on non-goods invoices. Officers of DGGI Gurugram Zonal Unit developed intelligence from which it was gathered that M/s AKS Electrical and Electronics Ltd. situated at S-1 & S-15, Bulandshahar Road, Industrial Area, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was involved in the use and issuance of bogus/bogus ITCs without underlying supply of goods. It was further found that in the particular year they had made huge purchases from Mr. Abhishek Industries against whom this authority had already conducted an inquiry regarding utilization of ineligible ITCs from various non-existent entities.
On the basis of verifications, evidence and statements on record, it appeared that M/s AKS Electrical and Electronics Ltd., Ghaziabad was involved in availing impermissible input tax credit on non-goods invoices received from various firms including M/s Abhishek Industry without actual delivery of goods. Amount of such prima facie inadmissible ITC availed by M/s AKS Electrical and Electronics Ltd. amounting to more than Rs.52 crores.Director M/s AKS Electrical and Electronics Ltd. he was arrested on 06/07/2022, for which a 14-day pretrial detention was granted.
