Four Punjab terrorists were arrested with explosives, weapons and ammunition at the Bastara toll plaza in Karnal district on the national highway in Ambala-Delhi on Thursday morning.
Karnal Superintendent of Police Ganga Ram Punia said Haryana police were tipped off by the Intelligence Bureau that they had seized a terrorist vehicle at the toll plaza at 5am.Police found three containers containing explosives weighing 2.5 kg each, a firearm, 30 boxes and a R1.3 lakh in a white Toyota Innova with Delhi registration number.
According to intelligence experts, 7.5 kg advanced explosives (IEDs) were mounted in metal boxes filled with metal claws. They said each box contained a timer, a detonator and a battery. Bomb and time were connected to IEDs but not yet power connected.

Punia said Gurpreet was leading a gang and was in contact with a Pakistani-based terrorist terrorist, Harvinder Singh, better known as Rinda, who had given them the explosives with the help of flying aircraft in Ferozepur. The SP said Rinda’s assistant Rajbir Singh had also been in contact with Gurpreet nine months ago.
During cross-examination, the suspects admitted to finding explosives and weapons in Pakistan with the help of an airplane and carrying the cargo to an area in Adilabad, Telangana.They told the police that this was their third responsibility. They had previously delivered goods to the town of Nanded in Maharashtra.They are booked under the Explosives Substances Act, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Indian Penal Code.A bomb disposal team called; The SUV was tested by a robot.A bomb disposal team was called in to quell the bombing, and police took up arms.The suspects were detained, and an SUV was sent to the Madhuban police station, where it was tested with the help of a robot.
Punjab briefed Haryana on terrorist suspects
Shortly after the arrest of four terrorists, Haryana’s prime minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, said it was unclear whether the suspects were terrorists or terrorists. “The ammunition was unlawful and the detainees were linked to a terrorist organization. At the moment we do not know if they themselves are terrorists or used to transport explosives from one place to another, ”saidKhattar.
“According to information from the Punjab, we stopped at a toll plaza in Bastara where bullets and cash were found. Their motives will be known only after an investigation. The current information is that the incident did not occur in Haryana, they were caught with explosives passing through Haryana, ”he said.
