The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance released a second monthly Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant Rs. 7,183.42 crore to 14 States. The grant was issued in accordance with the recommendations of the Fifteenth Financial Commission.
Fifteenth Financial Commission raises Total Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant of Rs. 86,201 crore to 14 States for the 2022-23 financial year. The Recommended Grant will be issued by the Department of Expenditure at Recommended International in equal monthly installments. With this release, the total amount of Exported Revenue Grants for 2022-23 has increased to Rs. 14,366.84 million.
Post-Downgrade Income Grants are provided to States by Section 275 of the Constitution. Grants are issued to States on the recommendation of successive Financial Commissions to meet the gap in United States post devolution. The eligibility of states to receive this grant and the amount of funding for the period from 2020-21 to 2025-26 was determined by the Fifteenth Commission on the basis of the gap between the assessment of revenue and expenditure of the State after considering a limited devolution. at this time.
