Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: The Defence Secretary, Shri Giridhar Aramane, inaugurated ‘Abhigyaan,’ a state-of-the-art auditorium at the Central Research Laboratory (CRL) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on January 10, 2024. BEL, a Defence Public Service Unit (DPSU), received praise for its efforts in bolstering national security and contributing to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) set by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
During his interaction with BEL scientists and engineers, the Defence Secretary encouraged more collaborations with domestic start-ups and incubators to provide cutting-edge technologies and products to the armed forces. He urged the scientific community at BEL to take the initiative in driving such collaborations and emphasized the importance of joint efforts for integrated solutions to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and Indian Coast Guard.
The newly inaugurated Abhigyaan auditorium is equipped with excellent acoustics, smart interfaces, a large interactive data wall, and three cameras with extensive features for live feed. It also features two high-resolution displays for simultaneous presentations and demonstrations. With a seating capacity for 250 people, the auditorium will serve various purposes such as product demos, symposiums, hackathons, tech talks, and lectures.
The Chairman and Managing Director of BEL, Shri Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, and other senior officials were present at the inauguration ceremony. The addition of the Abhigyaan auditorium reflects BEL’s commitment to advancing research and development in defense technologies and fostering innovation in the scientific community.
