Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday to a warm reception, marked by a grand roadshow. The Prime Minister inaugurated the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station and an airport, emphasizing the commitment to infrastructural development in Uttar Pradesh.

The roadshow, which saw large crowds along the route from the airport to the railway station, witnessed people waving and greeting the Prime Minister. Modi, in turn, greeted the enthusiastic crowd from his car, even opening the door at one point to acknowledge their cheers. The atmosphere was festive, with flower petals showered on the Prime Minister, and slogans raised in his praise.

Cultural troupes performed along the roadshow route, adding a touch of traditional charm to the event. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed Modi at the airport, expressing hearty greetings for the occasion.

The highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, marking the completion of Phase-I of the project. The station, completed at a cost exceeding Rs 240 crore, boasts a three-storey building equipped with modern amenities like lifts, escalators, food plazas, puja shops, cloak rooms, and child care rooms. The facility is designed to be accessible for all and is certified as a green station by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

Following the station inauguration, the Prime Minister took a tour of the facility, accompanied by Chief Minister Adityanath, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and other officials. Modi was briefed about the station’s features and facilities by Vaishnaw.

In addition to the railway station, the Prime Minister inaugurated an airport and laid the foundation stones for various development projects in Uttar Pradesh. These projects, amounting to more than Rs 15,700 crore, include initiatives for the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas, along with other works across the state.

As part of the day’s events, Modi flagged off new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains and dedicated several railway projects to the nation. The Prime Minister participated in a public program, emphasizing the government’s commitment to comprehensive development in Uttar Pradesh.
